Using FTP / Uploading Files

We recommend the following FTP software that can be downloaded from the Internet. Most Home Page Publishing tools include FTP capabilities and will work equally well.

WS_FTP is available for all Windows Platforms and the Dec Alpha platforms.

Cute FTP is available for all Windows Platforms.

Fetch is available for Mac/Power PC Platforms.

The Following Settings will be required to use FTP with our service.

If the program you are using is not listed above, your software will probably need the following settings:

HOSTNAME/SERVER ADDRESS: yourdomain.com (without the "www")
USERNAME: username that you were emailed in your Setup Info
PASSWORD: password that you were emailed in your Setup Info (can be changed in your User Control Panel)
DIRECTORY PATH: htdocs/ (This is the directory to which you will need to upload your HTML files)

Additional Values if present:
HOST TYPE: Auto Detect
TRANSFER TYPE: Auto
ANONYMOUS LOGIN: should not be selected
PORT: 21
TRANSFER TYPE: Auto
Please refer to your software's documentation for a more detailed explanation.

Note: Some cgi programs such as perl scripts should be upoaded/downloaded using ASCII text.

Use the default settings for the rest of available options.
